Palm Oil Extraction Plant - Eonmetall Group
Introduction. Palm Fibre Oil Extraction Plant, a plant designed and equipped to extract the residual oil from palm-pressed fibre by means of solvent.A food grade solvent known as hexane is used to extract the remaining 5% - 6% of residual crude palm oil (CPO) available in palm-pressed fibre, thereby enhancing oil extraction rate (OER) by 0.5%.

Oil palm fiber (OPF) and its composites: A review
Oil palm fiber is hard and tough, which shows similarity to coir fibers (Sreekala et al., 1997, Ibrahim et al., 2005).The scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image (Khalil et al., 2008b) of the transverse section of OPF shows a lacuna like portion in the middle surrounded by porous tubular structures (Sreekala et al., 2002b).The pores on fiber surface have an average diameter of 0.07 μm.

DESIGN OF A PRETREATMENT INSTALLATION FOR THE WASHING OF
Empty Fruit Bunches, or short EFB, is a residual product in the palm oil industry. In this chapter the process of palm oil production is sketched and can be seen where the EFB originate. Furthermore the EFB itself is described. Also the existing waste water of a palm oil mill plant are examined in order to see where washing water must comply to.

Ultrasonic extraction of palm pressed fibre for oil
Palm pressed fiber (PPF) is the solid waste produced from palm oil milling company after the pressing process. Recovery of oil and reuse of the palm pressed fiber is a great opportunity for cost saving in the oil processing industry. The objective of the research is to recover residual oil which still left in the PPF by using ultrasonic-assisted extraction method (UAE).

Characterisation of microcrystalline cellulose from oil
It is worth noting that residual oil present in oil palm fibres can influence the MCC production, such that additional pre-treatment step is necessary to remove the residual oil prior to the extraction of cellulose and its derivatives (Fahma, Iwamoto, Hori, Iwata, & Takemura, 2010; Nazir et al., 2013).
